Selective laser automatic soldering system for PCBs. A commercial robot delivers virgin tin through
a motorized feeder. By adjusting the timing of the motor that spins the tin reel, the amount of tin
that will be melted for soldering is controlled. Simultaneously, a timed laser, operated by the same
robot, will heat and melt the tin supplied from the reel, thus completing the soldering of the
component onto the PCB.
