The end of the old year and the beginning of the new one are always great times to take stock. 2019 was an important year for Restart. Not that other years haven’t been, but in the past 12 months, many significant strides have been made.
We underwent a radical rebranding with a new logo and corporate identity, adopted an internal regulation, a code of ethics, and launched the new company website. We created a company LinkedIn page and have an editorial plan that ensures its activity.
For the first time, the company proactively entered the market of a European country like Poland, participated in its first international bidding, and explored the uncharted territories of patenting two inventions and registering for trademark protection.
In 2019, Restart also initiated several projects that will be completed this new year, such as ISO9001 quality certification, the creation of an internal House Organ, and participation in the international fair Automatica2020.
The company funded social responsibility projects with donations to the Meyer Pediatric Hospital, the Livorno Young Adults Autism Center, and the I Bambini delle Fate association.
When we look at human resources, there are also many new developments.
In 2019, two new people were hired, an apprenticeship turned into a permanent contract, and another apprenticeship began. Thanks to these hires, two important new departments were born: the marketing and communication office and the robotics department.
Flexible working hours from 8:30 to 9:00 were introduced for all employees, along with travel allowances for those who spend the night away.
Company attire was renewed for everyone, including a jacket, delivered along with various gadgets the company had planned.
Last but not least, the company regulation now includes a contest where Restart offers two cash prizes for the best two inventions presented during the year by employees.
From this brief review, one might think we’re talking about a large multinational, but it’s actually a company with fewer than 30 employees, yet extremely attentive to its strengths and aware of the enormous value residing in its people.
Who knows what the new year will bring us?
Next review in 12 months. Au revoir.
